Woolgoolga Coastal Region has the best climate in the world!
The local Great Dividing Range drops from 900 metres (3,000 feet) around the tablelands straight down into the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
Our mild sub-tropical climate is ideal for us to grow 90% of cultivated genera in a simple shadehouse with little artificial heat. And we can also grow most cool growing species.
Woolgoolga boasts over 200 Native Orchid species (50 epiphytes and 150 terrestrials) including the smallest orchid in the world – Bulbophyllum minutissimum and one of the largest – Pseudovanilla foliata.
